With the rise of social media, almost every day is a “holiday.” That means it’s only right that we count down the most awesome and inspiring music “holidays” around the Internet:
January 4: Pop Music Chart Day – This day celebrates the chart-toppers of pop superstars of today and yesterday. Time to play the classics from Madonna, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and more.

March 4: Marching Music Day – Founded by Drum Corps International, this day celebrates marching as an engaging art form around the world and Music In Our Schools Month. It’s also a play on words, as March Fourth sounds like March Forth.
March 27: Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day – We bet you can think of a few humdingers that sound odd coming off your tongue. Think Achy Breaky Heart or I’ll Tennessee You In My Dreams.
April 11: Barbershop Quartet Day – This day commemorates the birth of the organized barbershop movement on this day in 1938, when 26 men gathered together at the invitation of Rupert Hall and O.C. Cash.
April 15: Record Store Day – This is a hugely popular day in Downtown Frederick, Maryland, thanks to The Record Exchange and Rock N Roll Graveyard. Stop by these small-town shops for your favorite songs on vinyl.

December 10: World Choral Day – This initiative by Alberto Grau from the Latin American Vice-Presidency of the International Federation for Choral Music joins singers across the globe for concerts, festivals, seminars, Days of Friendship, and other events.
December 13: Ice Cream And Violins Day – The Frederick Symphony Orchestra doesn’t know why ice cream and violins are paired together for this day, but it seems like a beautiful serendipity.
