February 27, 2016:
America’s most beloved animal expert brings his award-winning television series to the Weinberg Center for the Arts. Jungle Jack Hanna’s energetic and humorous introduction to the animal kingdom will leave audiences in awe. The Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s resident comedy troupe, The Comedy Pigs, will leave viewers’ stomachs in stitches after performing original (and absolutely hilarious) improv sketches. Buy tickets and get ready to laugh at 10:30 p.m. in the MET.
February 28, 2016:
The story of Roald Dahl’s classic book is coming to the MET. The delightful, family-friendly play will take the audience on an exciting afternoon adventure through the life of James, who ends up inside the pit of an oversized peach with an unexpected group of insect companions. March 5, 2016:
Join the Frederick Symphony Orchestra for Pictures at an Exhibition at 7:30 p.m. in Jack B. Kussmaul Theater. Our musicians will be performing Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and Ravel, and our Young Artist Competition winner, violinist Eileen Moudou, will be playing.
March 6, 2016:
Prepare to be swept off your feet and into the jungle as students from the Maryland School for the Deaf perform scenes from Lion King, Jr. All scenes will be interpreted for both the hearing and hearing-impaired, and proceeds from this family-friendly performance will benefit the Frederick Food Bank. Watch the show at 1 p.m. at the Weinberg Center for the Arts.
March 9, 2016:

March 11, 2016:
The critically acclaimed Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra will be bringing their incredible talents (and sublime humor) to the Weinberg Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. Order your tickets in advance because this New Zealand-based orchestra is performing fan favorites from Justin Timberlake, Hall and Oates, and Dolly Parton.
March 17, 2016:
Hailed by The Boston Globe as “a rare theatrical event,” Imago Theatre’s ZooZoo is a comedy show with a touch of magic and a drop of physical finesse. Exotic and familiar creatures alike come to life in this wordless production. Animal lovers around town are welcome to the Weinberg Center for the Arts at 6 p.m. for this show.
March 19, 2016:
The Art Carnival at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center will have creative activities and cool demonstrations for all ages from 1 to 4 p.m. This event has free admission, but some crafts will require tickets, which will be sold at the doors.

A recipe for comedy isn’t complete without a little backstage farce, a few slamming doors and flying sardines – literally. See NOISES OFF at Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre for a 6 p.m. dinner and an 8 p.m. show.
